Dream BIG or Go Home

A conversation ensued as I drove home with the twins from school today.  We were talking about careers and jobs and what they might like to be when they grow up.  Boo wants to be an astronaut and Pretty wants to be a vet.
The conversation took me back to when I was younger and my parents would ask me the same question "what do you want to be when you grow up?".  As I reflect on my answers: teacher, accountant, marketing manager, paralegal, lawyer and interpreteur, I realize that I didn't become any of those things.  Instead I have become something much bigger and greater than I could ever have imagined:  a mom.  Everyone tells you that being a mother is by far the hardest job in the world; but, what they often forget to mention is that being a mom is BY FAR the MOST rewarding job any woman could ever hope to hold.
I guess if I really thought about it, I always dreamed of being a mom someday.
So I leave you with my favorite quote by author unknown "Never let a day go by without a dream".  Oh and don't forget to dream BIG!

  1. Stopping by from Bloggy Moms - there has never been a truer statement! Mom is the single most precious job title on the planet! Closely followed by Dad of course!

  2. Great story.. I share your passion for being a mom (4 wonderful kids).. and just as I finished reading 'More than a Feeling' started to play.. what a treat.. love that song!

    p.s. twins must be awesome
