Family Field Trip

On Friday, Mr. Twingle and I took the kids to Canada's Wonderland for the first time.  My parents came along too for a fun family outing.
The day could not have been more perfect.  The weather was gorgeous, warm but not oppressive, sunny with a nice breeze.

We started the day getting our hands stamped at the front gate.  The stamp for the day was Woodstock, from the Peanuts gang.  Boo thought Pickle needed a stamp too and so he cleverly transferred the stamp from his hand onto Pickle's foot!

Next Mr. Twinlge and my dad took the kids to Planet Snoopy while my mom and I went off to get in a few roller coasters before the park got too busy.  It's been a while since I've gone on a coaster so I was pretty excited. Of course, I'm not so excited about the bruises I now have from my rides; but, it's a small price to pay for a day of fun.  Mom and I met up with the others at the Ghoster Coaster where the twins were riding their first "big" coaster!  Boo came off absolutely loving it, while Pretty said she never wanted to go on it again.  We purchased the photo of them going down the first hill.  Boo is all smiles, while Pretty looks positively TERRIFIED!
By this time, it was after 1pm and time for lunch.  Since eating in the park would cost a small fortune, we packed picnic lunches.  Unfortunately, you can't eat inside the park so that meant we all trekked out to the cars and then sought after some shade to sit in and enjoy our feast.

After lunch, we promised the kids we'd cool off at SplashWorks.  They were SO excited to go on the water slides.  Pickle had just fallen asleep, so I found a spot under a shady tree to settle in with her while Mr. T and the kids went to cool off and Mom and Dad went to ride some more coasters; but, not before Boo got Papa on a water slide with him.

Pickle finally woke up while the kids were off on the lazy river and so she and Mommy had a cuddle.  Here she is giving me a "kiss".

We ended off our day at Wonderland with a ride on White Water Canyon and a trip back to Kidzville for a few more rides, a couple games and some Tiny Tom Donuts.

Overall, we had a GREAT day.  I forgot how much fun Wonderland could be and the kids keep asking when we'll go back again.  I've promised them we'll go again before the end of summer.
