Friday the 13th Five Questions

It's Friday the 13th!   I grew up in a house where my mom was, is, VERY superstitious.  So much so, that it can be a little over the top;  which is likely why I am not superstitious at all.  I may have played along when I was younger; but, only because that's what I was brought up to believe:  throw spilled salt over your left shoulder, never walk under a ladder, a black cat crossing your path is a bad omen, etc.

So on this Friday the 13th, I ask you, my readers new and old, if you are superstitious?

While you ponder my question above, consider heading over to My Little Life to link up and do your own Five Question Friday!

1.  Have you ever visited another country?

Yes, I have been to the United States many times, mostly just to Buffalo NY and a couple of times to visit family in Michigan until they moved back to Canada.  I've also been to the Dominican Republic on vacation.  That was 10 years ago though and I haven't had a vacation since.
I would really LOVE to go to Paris, France someday and put my education in French Language to use!

2.  Where is the strangest place you have ever been?

I really had to think about this one, and I still don't know if it's all that strange.  I guess I would have to say a coffee planation in the Dominican Republic.  We had taken a taxi from the resort into Pureto Plata hoping to go to the Hard Rock Cafe.   Due to some language barriers, our driver didn't understand and took us to what he knew Cafe to be, a coffee plantation.  While it wasn't what we had set out to do, it was strange and cool all at the same time.  I even got to bring home some cocoa beans that had been dried in the sun.

3.  What is your favourite season?

Fall, hands down!  I love the fall.  The cool, crisp air.  The apple orchards and farms full of pumpkins, squashes, gourds and more.  The rich autumn colours, the leaves a blaze in red, yellow and orange.  Snuggling up in a cozy sweater with a book in front of the fire, or with a cup of tea outside on the porch.  There is NOTHING better than fall.  I'm counting down the days until this hot and humid summer ends and fall begins.

4.  What one song will always cheer you up?

Anything by New Kids on the Block will cheer me up.  But nothing gets me happier than Tonight!

5.  What Disney character do you resemble most?

Man.  I'd have to say Mrs. Potts from Beauty the Beast, minus the white hair.

  1. I need to come do Fall in your neck of the woods. The leaves don't change here in Florida and sweater weather is rare!

  2. LOL, No I guess you wouldn't get leaves changing in a Southern State.

  3. The first part of your number one answer is kinda the opposite of mine! I live in Michigan and drive through Canada to get to Buffalo to visit family!
