Getting Ready for the Sale

One of the perks of being a Mom of Multiples is belonging to the local twins club.  The BAMOM (Bay Area Mothers of Multiples) is a wonderful support group for new and expecting parents of multiples and they were very much a sanity saver that first year with the twins.  As Pretty and Boo have gotten older I haven't spent as much time with the group; but, I am still a member.

Twice a year, in the Spring and the Fall, the club hosts its Kids' Stuff Sale.  This year the sale will take place on Saturday September 18, 2010 from 8:30 am to 11:30 am at the Burlington Christian Academy (521 North Service Rd W).  It's a great place to shop for gently used clothes for the kids; but, it's also a great way for BAMOM members to sell items that their multiples no longer need.

I have often shopped at the sale; but, never sold anything.  This year that changes.  We still have ALL the clothes the twins out grew stored in our basement.  And let me tell you, that's a WHOLE lot of storage space.  Pickle is, of course, wearing most of Pretty's clothes; but, anything that Pickle has now outgrown we can add to the items to sell.  Little did I know just how much work was actually involved in being a sale participant.  I have to tag each individual item with a tag that has size, article, price and my name on it.  Then I have to hang everything on children's hangers so they are ready for sale day.  I have NO idea where I'm going to get enough hangers to do that.

If it seems I've been absent over the past few days, this is why.  My free time is devoted to tagging and hanging clothes.  If you're in the area, I hope you'll stop by the sale to pick up some fabulous finds.
