Looking Back and Celebrating

This past weekend, my littlest girl turned one!  I can't believe it has been a year since we welcomed her into our hearts.

For some reason, Pickle turning one affected me more than the twins' first birthday did.  I actually got teary wishing her a happy birthday.  Maybe because I know she is definitely our last child and there won't be any more first birthdays to celebrate?

Whatever the reason, it made her birthday that much more special.

We had her birthday party Thanksgiving weekend, inviting family and a few friends.

On her actual birthday, my parents came down to do double duty; spend the day with Pickle and babysit while I took Boo out for the annual Scouts Apple Day.  We took the family to Boston Pizza for dinner and Pickle was very excited by the balloon the staff brought her after singing Happy Birthday.

  1. What a sweet little girl.

I always get a little depressed at first birthdays. We never really know which baby is our last (though I'm pretty sure with the twins!). But it just marks the end of babyhood, and that is a little tough. I have three months to prepare for the girls' first birthday and I want to make it special without my being sad!
