This past weekend was a long weekend in Canada, Victoria Day; or May 2-4 as many call it. We lucked out here in Southern Ontario with BEAUTIFUL weather all weekend long. There wasn't a drop of rain and temperatures soared to the high 20's. All in all, it was picture perfect!
As a family, we spend most of the weekend outdoors. My parents picked the twins up for a sleepover Friday night, so they could all go to Canada's Wonderland on Saturday. They returned Sunday mid-morning and we then spent the day in the backyard, soaking up the rays. We played catch and paddle ball, brought out the water guns and just enjoyed time as a family.
The weekend was great, exactly what it should be. Yet, here I am in the aftermath, chasing flies that have been let in because the kids can't remember to close the door behind them on their MANY trips in and out! I hate flies. They are so disgusting and pester you when you're trying to sleep. UGH. I think there might be a half dozen of the little buggers plotting against me as I type this.
Do I regret the perfect weekend with my family? No, not at all; but, the kids had better learn to close the door behind them or there won't be anymore such weekends :p
