Of course, those yummy treats have been my downfall in the past.
This year, I've approached things differently. I haven't avoided them completely; but, I take steps to ensure I'm not going to gorge myself with them. I try to stay away from the platters, positioning myself across the room from where they are. I also survey the goodies first and make my selection based on the best option. Of course, if it's something I really want, and I don't get often, I treat myself to one small piece.
So far, it seems to be working as I'm down 2 lbs. this week! That's 33.9 lbs total.
My goal this holiday season is not necessarily to lose weight; but, I don't want to gain any weight either. Only a couple more weeks before I can call this holiday season a success on my road to a #betterme.
