A Better Me, Week 16

16 weeks...4 months.  That's how long I've been on this #weightlossjourney, and I couldn't be more proud of my success.
Losing weight isn't easy.  Most people, who haven't struggled to lose weight, just assume that by eating better or getting off your ass the weight will just fall off.  But, that isn't the case.  Yes, eating well helps and exercise definitely improve things; but, it isn't the perfect recipe for success.  It is careful monitoring everything that goes into your body; from quality to quantity; and everything in between.

Weight Watchers PointsPlus plan has been instrumental in my success.  Tracking everything I eat, weighing, measuring and following their tips and tricks have gotten me to where I am today.  And, I'll continue to follow their PointsPlus plan until I reach my ultimate goal.

Weigh-in this week was yet another success.  I'm down 3.5 lbs.  That makes 40.2 lbs in total!  40 lbs in 4 months!!!  I still can't believe it sometimes.  That's a whole Pickle!  Yup, I lost what my littlest daughter's CRAZY!  Boo wants to know when I've lost him.  I told him it'll be a while till I hit that weight yet; but, I WILL do it!

It was amazing yesterday to see some friends I haven't seen in a year and when I walked into the room they were all "oh my gosh, you look great!".  I can't even begin to express how awesome that felt.  All my clothes fit a little, or in some cases a lot, looser and I can see a difference in my face.  I still don't really see it anywhere else; but, the loose clothing and lower numbers on the scale are proof that things are changing.  My goal is to make it through the winter and into the spring in the clothing I have.  Then, when the new spring/summer clothing starts to come into stores, I'll use the gift cards I got for Christmas to buy new clothing for summer.  In theory they will be at least 2 sizes smaller than what I currently have in my closet for summer.  Hopefully, by next winter that'll be 3 or 4 sizes smaller and I'll need a new winter wardrobe too.
I'm well on my way to a #betterme!
