A Better Me, Week 18

Wow!  Where did all that snow come from?  It was crazy out there today and I don't think it's done yet.  I hope those of you that are getting this wicked winter storm, you're home safe & sound.

I braved the weather this morning bright and early for my weekly weigh in and I'm pleased to say I'm down 1.5 lbs.  That's 42.3 lbs. to date.  I think my losses have started to finally slow down to what is considered "normal" weight loss.  At first, this bummed me out.  But today I realized, it's not about the numbers.  It's about being healthy and feeling good...and you know what?  I do, I feel great!  I did 2 hours on the treadmill this week and for the first time in my life, I'm thinking of other ways I can be active.  I've got Wii fit, that's never really been used...so I'm gonna dust that off.  We've got "Just Dance" for the Wii which has a "just sweat" programme...guess what?  I'm gonna try that too.  Oh and that exercise ball I used to use as a desk chair...it's going to be put to use the way it was meant to be.

I'm loving how much more energy I have these days.  I still have moments where I'm like...ugh, I don't want to...but then I think, yes, I do.  I want to and I need to and I do it...and I feel so much better for it.
